About
Bright City is the worship movement of St Peter’s Brighton.
Bright City leads the worship life of St Peter’s Brighton, an Anglican church planted from Holy Trinity Brompton in 2009, in one of the most iconic and recognised buildings in the heart of the city.
Our purpose is to see revival in Brighton and as a community we write songs that we believe lead to change.
Bright city
Have a listen to some of our favourite tracks. Songs birthed to serve our church and city, and further develop the creative identity which began in 2015 with our self-titled debut album.
EVENTS
As a team, we lead the worship at St Peter’s Church in Brighton every Sunday. We would love you to join us at any one of our informal services: 10.30am and 5pm.
You can also find us leading worship at St Peter’s Youtube every Sunday at 10:30am UK time
Alongside Sunday services we also have other events and tours that we are involved in.
Change (live)
On the 10th anniversary of our church community in St Peter’s Brighton, Change (Live) was recorded. Bright City’s first live album consisting of 11 songs, new and old written to lay ground for the next season in Brighton. These songs are anthems, honest prayers and the cry of hearts.
HELLO MAKER
A collection of 10 songs written for the church, including 'Rock of Our Salvation', 'Come Holy Spirit' and 'Maker Of The Moon'. HELLO MAKER was released in 2017 as the 2nd studio album from Bright City. The project is an honest and brave offering to the One we were made for. Birthed in worship and also in the context of the city we do life in and love, we pray that in some way the songs bring you face to face with Him, as they have done for us.
BRIGHT CITY
The debut eponymous album from BRIGHT CITY- 13 songs of faith and hope from St Peters, Brighton. Featuring songs 'Colour', 'Forever Yours' and 'Force Field', the album charts the journey of gathering songwriters and creatives to a chaplaincy for the arts. From the fragile moments of 'My Prayer' and 'I Will Rest' to the huge church anthems 'We Believe' and 'Keep Me Close' this is a love letter to a city- a call to come alive.
HOPE LIVES
‘Hope Lives’ is the soundtrack to the 2017 Easter campaign at St Peter’s Church in Brighton, home of Bright City. “Alongside a series of campaign visuals we wanted to write a song that carried the story of Jesus’ cross, resurrection, reign and return, to our city and beyond. No matter what situations people find themselves in, hope lives in Jesus’ name.”
Death defeated. HOPE LIVES.
